Ulysses

Last Updated: 8/9/2004

Ulie's potty training has finally kicked in. He has gone four days straight without an accident!.

He has gained a lot of confidence, but will be shy initially with his new family.

7/19/2004: Ulie's personality is really developing nicely. He's very curious and playful.

Ulie is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, has been neutered, and is generally healthy. He has a large cyst or tumor on the end of his tail, and will be having surgery to have the cyst removed prior to being adopted.

Update 7/28/2004: Ulie had surgery to remove the cyst, and lost about 2 inches from the tip of his tail. The vet did an excellent job of making the end of Ulie's tail look as natural as possible, and it is healing very well.

Ulie lives to cuddle. He is looking for just the right person to cuddle up with, either on a lap or in bed!

6/2/2004:

Ulysses has been in rescue since early May. He is approximately 2 years old, about 17 inches at the shoulder, and weighs 13 pounds. He is very lean, seal and white.

He is very shy, though he has come a long way in the three weeks he's been in foster. He was very lost when he first came to his foster home, but has made quite a bit of progress, and is now making up for lost time. He follows his foster mom everywhere.

He is in the puppy chewing stage right now, and is about 50% reliable for going outside to potty. He is working on both issues with his foster family right now.

Ulysses spent much of his time in a crate prior to coming into rescue, and is learning the joy of sleeping in bed with everyone else. He will crate when necessary, though he doesn't like it and will let you know it. He has several prominent scars on his face, possibly from trying to get out of a crate.

Ulie is a very active young dog, and will run and play all day long if someone or another dog will play with him. He is full of mischief, and will steal almost anything he can get into his mouth, to include your underwear, and will go parading throughout the house and/or the yard with his stolen prizes!

Ulysses will need a home with a fenced yard and another small IG or dog for companionship. Ideally, he needs someone whose schedule allows for time home to spend with him.
