Rafina Winter Moonlit Dancer (Spot)
-- August 1, 1990 - February 20, 2004

Spot came to us in August, 2000. He was such a sweet, loving, gentle boy, and friend to all. He was barely able to eat when he came to us, because his mouth and gums were so sore, but he soon got his mouth taken care of, and grew healthy and more beautiful each day. His nick-name, "Spot," was a running joke, since he was pure white. In the summer, he would get the black liver spots or freckles on his tummy.

    Moonlight Dancer
  • Spotty was so eager to please, and within a few months of the time we got him, at 10 years of age, earned both his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate, as well as becoming certified as a therapy dog. He enjoyed going on visits to nursing homes, hospitals, and the children's home.

    Full Circle
  • Spotty left us the same way he came to us - he was so thin that he no longer had the physical strength to continue, though his heart was strong. It broke my heart to see him so, and I couldn't let him suffer any longer. He is at peace now.
