Rosie is a delightful little girl, approximately 20 months old. She was sold in a pet store as an Italian Greyhound. As you can tell by her photos, she isn't, but we can see that there truly may be some Iggy in her.
We believe that Rosie is an Italian Greyhound/Min-Pin mix. She stands much taller than a purebred Min-Pin, and is very muscular like our Italian Greyhounds.
Rosie gets along well with other dogs, cats, children, and adults. She is a little shy at first around men, but a few gentle words and lots of treats and patience will bring her around.
Rosie's most endearing habit is that she jumps up into my arms from the floor. The moment I establish eye contact with her, she's in the air... You really need to be expecting her to jump.
She can jump as high as any of our Italian Greyhounds, and can run very fast. She will also chase birds in the yard. She is very playful, and a bundle of joy. She has shown that she can climb over fences, but only if the person she wants is on the other side.
Rosie weighs about 17.5 lbs, and is as tall as our male Italian Greyhound. We put her on a diet the same day she came in, and she is thinning down nicely. She is up-to-date on all her vaccinations and has been spayed.
Rosie was adopted in December, 2002. Here she is with her new Mom, Lisa, and her Iggy brother, Flash, looking on as Lisa brushes Rosie's teeth. "Yum!"
