Ned (11/19/2005)

Update, 11/19/2005 - Rainbow Bridge:

The loss of a little one is never easy, and it's especially hard on the humans when the little one has been so brave and so excited to discover what life is all about for the first time. Ned went to the rainbow bridge this week. His life as a free dog was way too short, and he was just learning what it was like to be loved and to experience so many new things with his foster family. Ned's loss is so tragic -- his condition could have been prevented if he had gotten the veterinary care he needed while he was in the puppy mill. He is the example of why we don't support the selling of puppies in the pet stores that get their dogs from the puppy mills.

We grieve with his foster mom, Sarah, and are grateful that she gave him the love he so needed during his last days.

Ned is a very sweet, loving old guy of about 9-10 yrs old. He is fawn color, not very big, and toothless. Unfortunately, poor Ned lived in a mill all his life and didn't get good vet care. He has a heart condition that requires he take 3 medications. He crates well, has good potty habits, and is leash trained.

Presently, Ned's foster mom is taking him all kinds of places and giving him all kinds of experiences that he never had before. Ned is loving it! Ned gets to go everywhere with her and when he is not running around, he is at home laying in the sun, playing or just investigating the yard. Ned gets along with other dogs, people and cats. If you think that you would love to give Ned a place in your home where he can enjoy sunbathing and snuggling please contact Kim at topironhorse2000@hotmail.com Ned is located in Indiana and will be adopted out to the state of Indiana or bordering states.
