Justine came to us when she was 11 years old. From the very beginning, she was "Supreme Guardian of the Couch" and performed her duties with total commitment. She dearly loved going out for the local "Meet & Greets" with the other Greyhounds in the community, and made many friends.
Justine loved to jog around the yard, then come back inside and guard her couch from all the "Iggy-flies" that would buzz around her. She was graceful and dignified, and never hurt any of the little ones. We like to believe she must have been pretty fast in her youth, though we'll never know for sure. When we had the Greyhounds at the baseball diamond once, a few of them started doing laps around the park, and Justine not only ran with them, but kept pretty close to the front of the pack, even though she appeared to be doing nothing more than jogging. She made running seem so easy, though at the end she could barely stand up. Now she is pain-free and can run and play again with her many friends who went to the Rainbow Bridge ahead of her.
