COSBY (black and white, ~16" at the shoulder) is an IG for those who want an active, sweet dog. Cosby loves to play with other dogs and is VERY, VERY high energy. He is extremely sweet and loves people. He knows sit perfectly and loves to 'perform' for treats. This is a dog that wants desperately to please. He will be needed to be trained with POSITIVE methods only. Any harsh commands, spanking, or rough handling would be devastating to this lovely dog. Just teach him what you want and he will do it! Cosby would love to do some clicker obedience and loves to play and be loved. He wants to play with other dogs ALL THE TIME, so the resident dogs need to be very playful or understanding of an exuberant pup. Cosby is very appropriate with adult dogs and will back off when they tell him to. He is an eternal optimist though and will be back asking them to play in minutes. He also does this adorable 2' high bunny hop when he is playing. It is hysterical. If you're willing to put the time and love into this fantastic dog you will be rewarded many times over. He is just waiting for a home who appreciates a high energy, funny guy who loves to please. Be ready to keep busy!
Cosby's potty habits are very good. He will not go in his crate and knows to go outside. Having been neutered later (~10 months), he will occasionally mark in the house but this is going away quickly. I think a few weeks of monitoring (and the testosterone leaving his system) will fix this issue. He so wants to >be a good boy and receive praise. He's very easy to teach anything. Cosby is also very, very outgoing with people. He loves EVERYONE. He hasn't been around kids but I imagine with older kids (over 5 and watched by an adult!) he would be fine.
